moonshot was a 4-day hackathon in florida visiting kennedy space center and universal studios! it was an amazing experience and i had a lot of fun!

kennedy space center

we got to see the space shuttle atlantis, the apollo/saturn v center, the command center, the huge buildings where they build the rockets, and a lot more! seeing all this space history up close was incredible.

universal studios

the only thing i cared about was the rollercoasters lmao! i only went on the hulk one because time was really tight, but it was so fun and really intense. it was my first rollercoaster ever and the first time i waited an hour in a line for anything — but it was worth it! i also got to see the harry potter world, which was really cool! i’m not a huge harry potter fan, but i knew enough of the lore to appreciate it all coming to life. unforgettable! here’s a video!

rosen shingle creek

we stayed at rosen shingle creek, which was honestly such a nice hotel. every night i’d go down to the pool and just hang out — it was the perfect way to wind down after a long day of hacking and exploring. the vibes were immaculate.

my projects

how did i get there? well, i worked ~120h on multiple projects! check out pydecodr, nextctf, and other projects on my github!

since i already had a visa to the US from neighborhood, i just had to book a flight and pack my bags. it was a really short event, but i got to meet a lot of cool people and learn a lot of new things!

i am really grateful for the opportunity to go to florida and experience this. i will always remember this journey and the memories i made there! big shoutout to vasile who came with me from romania — had an amazing time together! thank you emma and graham for organizing this event and giving me the chance to be a part of it! i hope to see you all at the next hackathon!
